Laten Bleed after Sucho TLC
Nerfed bleed way too much. The issue with latens bleeding out apexes is valid but they can also 1-2 shot latens.
The issue with the current nerf is that now any mid tier is also off limits for latens as their turn movement and stamina doesn’t allow latens to stay in battle for long enough to make any impact. Most dinos can now just stand there and wait out the latch and outstam latens or just run through the bleed because you cannot stack them quickly enough while maintaining stam to fight.
Possible fixes for latens would be:
- Decrease stam consumption for ripping kick and mangle so we can actually apply bleed without getting outstammed by everything.
- Increase speed (megs can tail ride latens currently)
- Return lat to close to the same bleed as before but increase group size to 2 so you can’t have 10 bleed builds in a group.
- Change either puncture, ripping kick or pounce to different slot
As a player who mains lat, it is currently unplayable as a solo.

AlliraptorI agree with the user. I too main lat, but also play many other dinosaurs. It isn’t hard for a juvenile Rex, titan or even a more mobile Amarg to do a lot of damage to an adult lat. they’re meant to work as a group, and their prior stats worked well in that dynamic. I would not say that this new update accommodates that dynamic, even less so for solo players. It’s really important for others to understand that when you play as a lat, you are super squishy and vulnerable. You have to be agile and have good reaction time to many attacks. Lats are definitely supposed to melt other players if they are well skilled at playing the Dino. That’s the whole point of learning and crafting your perfect build on your fav Dino.

AnonAt this point they might as well remove them from the roster.
They give raptors pounce, but then take away all the options to pounce on and even nerfed the damage done to pounced dinos.
They gave them speed, then took it away because players complained about how hard they are to hit and now they're out run by basically everything.
They gave back bleed, but they made us have to choose between doing any viable damage and bleed.
Then they nerf the smidgen of bleed we even had.
Like really?? With all the dang nerfs and people are still complaining about it being op, shouldn't the devs start thinking "gee, maybe it's not the raptors that's the problem?" -

RraptorYes please I want laten bleed again. My favorite laten build is bleed build but after they nerfed the bleed I stopped using this build because I can't do much damage or bleed and I don't think laten needed a bleed nerf and why the developers keep nerfing laten instead of buffing it they should have kept its bleed or nerf it a little but not a lot and they should buff its speed a little like you said in the suggestion as it's very slow at day and most 2 and 3 slots can run faster and kill laten in 4-5 hits. Maybe a health buff would be good too. I upvoted your suggestion.

KBlurIt's beyond terrible. I can see a lot of appeal toward apexes, but raptors always get the short end of the stick.
Let's look at the way the bleed plays for laten:
- Mangle has a 4s cooldown. 4!!! It's unuseable in PvE and vs critter fights. It drains you off of a LOT of stamina when pounced + bucking.
- Kick takes a TON of stamina, leaving you drained very quickly
Both abilities don't justify the bleed nerf now. Either lower the stamina cost, or buff the bleed again.
I switched from my bleed build to a pure DPS with Raptor Strikes. I'm having a better time rn, cause Mangle was annoying to use -- now it's even worse because the reward is non-existent.
Apexes have a good tactic against them -- against a cliff, 1-2 bites and laten is dead. We had like 5-6 of us die to a single rex before we took it down. Yea, laten OP.............
Maybe bring back the stomp for big ones instead of nerfing raptors?! I'm so tired of this. -

NaterpoohI too am a solo Laten main and although I play on Switch and still have old bleed Laten, it’s unfortunate and makes me quite sick to see my boy get absolutely trashed on by others and because the complainers always get their way, it gets nerfed and completely gutted out by the devs. I pray for the devs to be working on something good for Laten, my boy and for all my fellow Laten main brothers and sisters out there.

EldritchForrestYou know i'm Just sad that the Same Thing keeps happening again and again to Laten. They give it Something and then Nerf it into the ground.
Bleed laten was perfect as it was, incredibly high risk for high reward and Not particularly overpowered in big groups because it gets Out DPS-ed by other group members. It Just really isn't Worth running anymore at all.
Though im Not Sure Laten works as a 2-slot either, it's Just food for Most of them unless you give it at least a stam and a Speed buff. -

IHateLatenLaten sucks, everything can kill you and you can't fight anything, all you can do now as a laten solo is run away.
There is not enough stam for a full pounce build especially solo.
Bleed was fine, damage was fine.
Every time laten gets something, it gets nerfed to the ground again because other players can't be bothered to to fight and just want Latens to jump in their mouth.
The whole thing about raptors is to tear flesh, to ambush, to use it's big brain.
Why play laten anymore? It can't fight anything, it can't pounce anything and it definitely can't bleed anything.
I expect a lot worse in the future of Alderon. I mean they made duck and sucho exact copies of each other.

XanticaAfter people complaining about raptors even after all of the nerfs you've gotta put two and two together. The raptors aren't aren't problem, it's inexperienced players constantly complaining when they get killed by a very good laten player.

LatJust adding my voice here too. Lat needs a serious re-balance. As it strands, it is becoming a very unplayable character, for all the reasons mentioned in this post, and now more. Plus the roster has a wealth of defenses against them. Rex and hatz clamp/instakill. stomp & tail slam abilities, knockback abilities, biting while pounced, heavy bleed the list goes on.
Considering how easy it is to be one or 2 shot as a lat creature. The risk/reward feature of it was what made it FUN. I understand people complain about swarms of them on official servers. But we need to start as a community understanding. That this will be something that happens with ANY dinosaur on a no rules server where people like to team in big groups. This is not unique to PoT, and they have allowed a flourishing community server option for those who do not wish to play this way.
In other words, please stop punishing Lat players for issues these nerfs won't ever fix.
