Tyrannosaurus TLC ideas and references
Path of Titans Tyrannosaurus design has always been controversial ever since its release almost 2 years ago. Because of this, and the new wave of TLCs coming soon, I'd like to suggest a remodel for Tyrannosaurus.
I used a mix of LancianIdolatry's tyrannosaurus skeletal, and Dan Folkes skeletal, these two are the most up to date skeletals we have so far of this species, and they are really good references for any 3d model.
I made a concept to show how I imagine tyranno's species would look like with an eventual TLC. Rex is the most accurate sub, based mostly off of Scotty, being bulky and having a really boxy head. Mcraeensis (replacing bataar) has a more slender body and small feathers, similar to the whiskers in the andrewsarchus mod rather than the quilla of conca, alongside having a small dewlap. Sanguis on the other hand has a row of spines going down its neck, sharper horns and lacks lips, being mostly inspired by Dinosaur Revolution's Rex.
Thanks for reading!

Please give rex a TLC in the future, I personally believe this idea and these concepts are really nice, while rex does LOOK like a rex, ish, there are a few things that have been bugging me since it came out, the look it has that its starving (weirdly skinny), the lack of good (imo) skins, the eye ridges not even really looking like an eye ridge of any kind, and just the overall texturing. -

SaneIn my personal opinion I believe that we already have this with the Primordial Tyrants modded Rex, although it sounds nice I think it would be nice to have variety between the two Rex’s as it brings a better / bigger variety to the game.
With the pictures I have seen above they look nice however they look A LOT like the primordial tyrants modded Rex. I do believe that it would be better to have some differences between the Rex’s instead of them looking extremely similar -

LacerationsRex is nigh-on unplayable at the moment with the recent changes to Bone Break. Fracture works wonderfully for smaller dinosaurs; but Rex depended on the ability to instantly cripple a dinosaur to keep them within its range.
As of now, Rex is very slow, has extremely limited stamina, and shared bite cooldowns. It cannot chase anything down, including critters. It has an incredibly powerful bite that it can never manage to deliver, let alone the multiple times that Fracture requires to graduate into Bone Break.
Rex needs to be reworked into an ambush predator with limited but explosive stamina/speed; or it needs its old instant-but-short-lasting Bone Break bite back. If Rex alone can still cause an instant Bone Break, that makes sense for what it is, and gives it back the ability to hunt and ambush.
When I see a Rex, I should be scared. I'm not; I mostly just feel sorry for them, and that's not right for my fave, main dino. -

Grant CampI think Mcraeensis should have no feathering on it, Rex should have some sparse feathering on it, and Sanguis should have a full coat of feathers on it similar to the species of Concavenator.

Love DinosNo offense but the actual Rex looks just very fat and dumb, like a gorilla with no brain...I just really don't like the actual Rex, iam sorry if I sound ruff, it's really not bad meaning, but I saw some other Rex's in Movies and other Games that looks soo cool, like a real Monster a real Animal a real Dinosaur and what's it's Name meaning. I would love to the Rex less chunky and with a sharper snout, more teeth showing and more like fast cruel hunter it was. The Suchomimus is good example it looks a bit like a person who got a broken Nose, but it looks scary and cool. It looks like a Dinosaur. The Rex should not look like a Suchomimus, that's not what I mean, but it just should look like a scary and fast hunter and not like Jabba the hood with legs. Maybe a sub species with some feathers or feather like hairs. Ouh that would be Amazing!
The Rex on the pictures just look like a chunky giga.
And if I see a Rex ingame, I'm not scared, but I should be...I saw a Pachy killing a Rex today.
