Moderate the Official Servers
Firstly, i want to say that this topic isnt new and i know how the devs stand on this issue but i still want to make this suggestion because i feel like it is really important.
I also know that official servers have no (gameplay) rules but there are still behavior rules (chat rules). I also know that you can block (mute) people or even report them for harassment and insulting.
With that out of the way, here is my actual suggestion:
Moderate the official servers in some sort of way.
Unfortunately, I must admit that the toxicity in this game has gained the upper hand. Official servers (esp. EU) are a hell to play on. There are people who constantly violate the rules and get away with it.
This toxicity will ultimately ruin the games reputation.
You dont need to moderate them all the time, just sometimes. You guys know the best way to do this. There would be a lot less toxic people and the game would be so much more enjoyable if there was some sort of moderation.

hi, it would be great to play calmly without toxic people who are full of these people and playing alone is impossible they kill you continuously well they are a nuisance that should be punished for example with 24 hours without being able to enter official servers and if they continue to do so the punishment should increasing even the permanent ban is just an idea

Alderon Wallaby AdminImproved chat moderation is something we plan to implement. In the meantime, we highly encourage users to report users who are breaking our Terms of Service to our support: https://alderon.games/support

John GallantModeration is a tough subject, I would just like to see clear list to define the games rules set, like mix packing Kos groups & people attacking everything in sight & shitting on all the baby dinos, even their own species,& other toxic behavior like that getting temp ban or something, we shouldn’t be having to deal with over 50% of the players running around kosing for fun while the rest of the player base slowly leaves the game due to not wanting to deal with the toxic players.

AnonIn-game moderators are disparately needed on official servers. The game has become quite toxic, more so than should be acceptable for a PVP game. Trash-talking, racism, discrimination based on inability to speak English, and overall lack of respect run rampant. Reporting does nothing. On the rare occasion that someone is chat-banned, they get to come back and can be as toxic as ever, if not more so. It's impossible these days to get on a server that isn't full of rude people who seem to make it their life's goal to be a cyberbully. Please remember, there are PEOPLE on the other side of the computer screen. They have feelings! Many people quit simply because they're tired of chat disrespect and insults. Show respect, and be a good sport. And "going to community servers" shouldn't be someone's only escape from the toxicity. Killing other dinos is fine, not disrespectful, it's part of the game. But going into chat and talking badly about whoever was just killed? That's unacceptable.

UshiriIt´s allready possible to skip, just change chat channel to "GROUP" and you will not see any of it except people you add. Chat feels pointless to have allready since it breaks the immersion

ROTTMNTLover2022I JUST got harrassed AND backstabbed by a group of about eight people because I asked to be left alone while trying to regrow my spinosaurus. I was so annoyed, and I didn’t really see the point in reporting cause that doesn’t Really punish anybody unless you get lucky. I’ve been chat banned for being frustrated that people are jerks. It’s not cool. It makes it way harder to enjoy the game when people can act like that on a whim. And get away with it.

MegaJanglesIf moderation is to be implemented, I believe it should be auto-moderated to some degree rather than strictly relying on personnel.
Too often have I seen arguments arise between mods and players on community servers, most of which are never resolved. I’d rather it not spread to Officials.
I am mainly a solo player, I’ve had my fair share of unfair situations from being invited to teams only to be killed, mix packed, baby killed etc. but even so I am vehemently against the idea of enforcing/controlling player combat behaviour.
I play to relax, be it PvP, questing, or just wandering around the map for an hour. I understand it is not always fair, but that can only ever be mitigated never completely eliminated.
Rules are good but too many can be stressful, especially when there is an overseer. -

ROTTMNTLoverIf the devs built the gameplay like being part of an ecosystem, particular carnivores have preferences for particular herbivores and herbivores prefer particular plants (but all can generally eat whatever with certain consequences) and we implement rules for hunting and when you can hunt (for example: a pack of latens could only hunt if a majority are below 55% hunger and NEED food, and the creature that would give them the MOST food could be pachys) instead of completely randomized and frustrating sports-killing, Mega and mix-pack, KOS, baby-killing, and general toxicity outside of chat would be generally erased. And there probably wouldn’t be AS MUCH of a need for moderation. Just a thought. To encourage this, adding more playables, optimizing gameplay to make it as compatible as possible and reduce lag, and making servers larger, would add diversity and numbers needed, and would make the game significantly more engaging for EVERYONE without making it super stupid easy.

AudreyI 100% agree, the number of people purposefully breaking rules is seriously alarming, people are in complete contempt of moderators and devs and constantly go out of their way to ruin the game for as many people as possible, no one should ever feel like they straight up can’t play a game they like just because there are so many toxic players
I’ve seen
People camp home caves to get easy kills or steal trophies
Massive pack and hunt every player on site (with numbers as ridiculous as 12 v 1)
People fake friendly then lure them into a trap
Other players kill someone on sight just for daring to play a dinosaur they don’t like
People specifically target babies just to stop them from being able to grow
Mix packers that camp watering holes so players can’t even drink
No one should have to feel like they can’t even play with their friends and the lack of care from devs is crazy
Like why even have a system to report people if they don’t care?
