Gondwa Logs Should be able to be stepped over and not completely stop us while running
The logs all over the ground on Gondwa forested areas are annoying and really shouldn't completely stop a dino in their tracks like they do. It's rage quit inducing. A log the height of my toe completely halts me in my tracks while I'm running for my life 99% of the time. Please no 👎

I mean if you put effort into the game it's actually a skill thing if you can walk through a forest full of logs while being chased or not, i can understand that its annoying to walk through a forest full of logs ye, would change that aswell but a middle between that would be perfect i imagine -

WrenI refuse to go into heavily forested areas on the map because of this. It’s literally unplayable if you’re running for your life or after your food. Phenomenally un-fun

PangoHonestly, I think the Gondwan forests need to be a lot less cluttered with logs and stumps; they are an absolute pain to travel through since most dinos can't jump (it's the worst when you're trying to hunt or run from something), add more asset loading than needed, and are unrealistically common. Most dinos should be able to step over the logs with one footstep, yet because of the walking mechanics and tree hitboxes they get stuck if they're not at a full sprint (and sometimes not even sprinting gets them over). Please either remove at least half of the pesky ground litter, or make the logs on the ground able to be walked through like the branches from quests. Another option for better rendering efficiency is pasting a 2d branch texture on the ground where 3d ones used to be.

SunnyI can’t tell you how many times I’ve died from a fallen over log I should have been able to walk over. It’s definitely frustrating. At a certain height you should be able to walk over them imo.

CatspitWhat if the logs slowed you rather than stopping you entirely?
Or, what if stepping on a log as a big dino made a loud crunch even while crouching?
I like that there's some difficult terrain where smaller, more agile creatures can go and bigger ones have trouble, but yeah, sometimes it's a bit much. -

TurbulentHonestly in comparison, Panjura and Gondwa have a similar amount of ground cover in the forests, the difference is just that there's no collision on most of the objects on Panjura. That's the only change that would need to be made. As it is, there's like 60% of the walkable terrestrial land that is completely unusable, making an already small map even smaller.

HumpenstilzchenCouldn´t agree more. Another good reason to avoid this map next the absolute silly amount of cliffs and canyon & maze like areas.
Just an awful map.
