Change Subspecies at a Heavy Cost

What if you were able to change the subspecies of your creature at a heavy cost of tokens? Or to make it an option you could do in your character menu, but only in a home cave, and it takes a chunk out of your current growth (Adult and doing so would set you back to 3/4 from reaching sub adult). In doing so, you would also have an invisible timer applied to your character and would not be able to swap out characters subspecies for a while in real time (either WoW's route of 72 hours, or just flat out 7 days).

Yep reaching adult with Spino and Eotrike has me regretting my choices of subs and not wanting to even play them anymore

3/4 back from sub adult seems way too heavy of a cost, considering the time it takes to get to adult from that growth stage. It's already hard enough to grow without friends & randoms aren't always trustworthy or even worth grouping with at all.

I'd suggest making it cost a little growth(3 bars of growth, or less) and maybe some marks(5,000, or less) with a 7 day cooldown as you stated.

I strongly support this.

In the endgame regrinding subadult just to get the optimal build is just no fun. You just don't know at the start which subspecies is optimal for you, and the game punishes you for correcting your mistake.

And 5k is around the amount of credits you would grind from sub to adult (given no HC growth buff).

So just let me grind the credits as an adult and have more fun in the process. The growing phase is not exactly the most fun part of the game.
