Choose area for spawn
Add different areas, for choosing where you would like to spawn, instead of random spawning.
Walking through the map needs a lot of time and not always there is someone who sends a waystone invite.

I love arks respawn and I feel it would fit very well in this game just choosing the general area on the map and respawning somewhere In that area -

TheFarshooterWould make the home caves more tied into the game if they made it so you can only respawn in them. (Ideally being allowed to pick which one)

AionThis would be fine if the area is large enough to still be random, just a few options so you don't end up NE when you want to be SW. Something like a N, E, S, W spawn

beebee73There should be a home cave in each quadrant so still SOME travel but easier for slow walking critters. But yeah I could be down for respawnng to home caves.

AlexeiI think this would require areas around home zones to be safe havens otherwise people will lurk around the home points to grief everyone spawning. Hell, they sort of already do that with the existing home zones.

beebee73My prior comment was before new system to prevent revenge kills.
Spawning to home caves or certain areas IS still a good idea for nee critters maybe. BUT in keeping with the anti revenge system if you just died in a certain area that area is locked out for a set time. -

Vincent HillPlaying sarc means you can lose almost all growth after being killed once trying to reach water. Please yes.

MrPinkAdventuresI don't think we should be able to choose any spawn location. I think we should be able to choose our initial spawn into the world when coming in after the tutorial. Once you die I think you should spawn at the nearest Home-cave that way you're nearby wherever you last was.

LukeThis shouldn't even be a consideration it's a must. The game is walking simulator without it

marbenetThis is definitely a must-have feature. It is essential, as being killed means you're going to waste good 20 mins getting back to the central waypoint station. Please, devs, add this!

Only One ShinobiThis is one of the most frustrating things - especially for multiplayer/group play.
Sometimes it takes an hour or more to build a pack or a herd and walk across the world to teach them. Only to get ambushed and respawn on the other side of the map.
The random respawn discourages group play. And makes it very difficult for new players to get into the game. Since Juveniles easily die.
At the very least players in a group should be able to choose to spawn near the party. -

Am-MeI really like this idea. I loath taking all the time to walk to one area, only to end up completely across the map when someone ambushes me.
If not this, at least spawning in the nearest home cave would be a great alternative. Though there would definitely need to be something implemented where people can't just camp home caves. -

KupkakeMight not be a good idea for Official (or official-like) survival servers, but for community servers this would be a fantastic addition; such as more lax rules, pvp meetups, or even future gamemodes, such as capture the egg or something.
Perhaps in survival style servers, allow players to spawn in corners of the map, in a NW/NE/SW/SE fashion, which should make it easier to come back to your group rather than running for a WS or the length of the map. -

SpexxxI actually disagree to that, cause this is the first thing, getting abused for revanche kills in the game.
The idea using the homecave as a respawn is a good argument,so they are more useable and have more impact into the game, which prevents players getting imediately killed again after they respawned in a area, where are multiple people nearby.
And you can manage it,that you can only spawn in a homcave outside of the area you died
(because of revanche kills,lol) -

PaigeWould also love the respawning at the nearest home cave because it’s really frustrating when you’re spending 20 minutes running somewhere just to immediately die when you get there due to no stamina.

SunnyIf they could maybe allow spawning in general locations like a random spawn in [North/South/East/West/Center] would be cool to see. I see this only really needed for the slower Dinos because getting killed on sight and having to walk across the map seems tedious while playing solo.

TacBravoWould be nice to be able to spawn in the zone of the group leader, even if it's random placement in the zone. Even using the Waystones to port yourself near your group and have a heavy wait time to reuse it.

KooffieNot choosing an actual area, but choosing a specific corner of the map, for example, center of the map, south of the map, north of the map, etc, would be great.

AnominousI think this would be a good idea for a few different reasons one because I’m tired of running to the impact crater and dying on my way which really annoys me so this is a good idea to me.

HeimdarmI would mix this idea with the nesting system, I think nests should act as spawn points later. Wether they are placed in the open world, or they'll have seperate instances like home caves, just call it nests.

KupkakeIn officials? Probably not. But would make excellent for community servers. The more options baked into the game; the better community servers are!

CrypticI think at the very least you shouldn't be spawned into an area you were killed in or hotspots. I have spawned into battles and large packs too many times. I think this would help that.

ClintI think if you die to an attack you can pick the home cave to spawn out EXCEPT the one closest to where you were. If you suicide by height drop or hunger/thirst then I believe you should randomly be sent to a home cave. Of course the home caves in the ocean would not be used for land dinos and vice versa. Being able to pick closet home cave just leads to revenge bs attacks etc.

Chris DurkinI agree as long as it's not the exact area. N/E/S/W/Centre sections for example.

ElCaballoI do think you should be able to choose a home cave to spawn in, but it shouldn’t be the closest to were you were killed unless you died to fall damage. However, I think there should still be a randomization option for those who liked that feature.

LibbyThis would definitely be abused. I believe the random spawning is a safer thing, it prevents overcrowding of popular areas.

XxlazarroboxXOnly if each location had a cool down and can be enabled and disabled by server admins

FangThis would be abused too much by kos groups and make it way too easy for them to get back for rage induced revenge kills.
It would certainly have to have some kind of restrictions like not being able to pick a place within a certain distance of where you died.
Imo I rather like the randomness of the respwans. Sometimes you get lucky and can jump right back in the fight or you get stuck doing the walk of shame and regrow as you go.
I think it's fine as is. -

AlexThe respawn system should work like ark does, when you first spawn in as a new player (Dino) you have spawn points where you can choose the area around the map unless you get nested in, then once you get to a home cave you can set that as a respawn and also be able to fast travel between the home caves only while inside them or even be able to use a waystone to teleport alone while in a homecave (to stop ws and homecave camping) that way you can easily meet back up with your group, then once you hit sub adult you make a nest which then the nest will also act as a spawn area (200 meter radius)

AkihaneThere should be mechanics that would split the map in parts for aquatics and semi-aquatics, flyers, and ground dinosaurs maybe or to be placed some sort of respawn radius so when someone dies it wont respawn too faraway from the place where it died
-

redjr666i think having set areas to respawn at but having the respawn be in the generalized vicinity would be amazing (kinda like how you choose to respawn in ark survival eveolved) cuz let me tell ya i tried to play with my wife by the time we met up we got killed and ended back up on opposite sides of the map from each other and you just repeat that process over and over with no way to really play together for more than a few minutes the rest of the time is finding each other

DvejebsHorrible no you could just spawn back In a place u died and kill someone that killed you or you can join back your group too easy it would not be good the game would be broken just like the isle I mean like beacuse of the ai the game is already broken but this would just ruin it more

CasualNewbI think the options could work like this...
1. Default - Random Respawn.
2. Homecave Menu - Choose to Respawn at this cave upon death.
3. Nest Menu - Choose to Respawn at Nest upon death.
This will likely dissuade many revenge campers, because there is no way to know which option would be chosen by other players. This also gives more purpose to the nesting mechanic, which will benefit solo players without taking anything away from group players. It also allows those who prefer the random respawn to keep that option, without having to change/toggle anything. It would also help flying dinos so they are not forced to respawn on some random island out in the middle of nowhere.
It will likely frustrate some, but these options would also add an actual PvP option/reason to find and destroy nests (and hide/defend them)... So maybe also add trophies for destroying nests, specific to the dino type??? -

Ernest Bell vThen when a mix pack finally gets shut down all the members are gonna just spawn where they died or near where they died and go and attack there killer this is gonna make the game miserable so if u did this you would need to make it where you were a certain distance away from where u died depending on your speed.

CrecelleEven being able to chose a quadrant of the map to spawn in would be a major improvement to being spawned into ripple beach 20/30 times.

EvelynI think that this would be a good idea WHEN coming out of the tutorial cave, otherwise it would always be random spawn, I think that just going back to the nearest home cave (as one comment or more said) would ruin the fact that you want to stay alive so that way you don’t end up on the opposite side of the map. Being able to choose where you go to start would be a great idea though so that way you don’t spawn in an are far away from any food or drinkable water
-

T3npoThis is a great idea, you could have large enough regions of the map as different spawn zones and inside of the regions you would randomly spawn somewhere still keeping the randomness off spawn but being able to choose a region would make it easier on the slower less mobile players

Yohan M. G.I would agree with this. But Path of titans is about living and thriving in the world of dinosaurs. Not revenge killing. This would cause a huge rash of revenge killing and also the journey of getting back to your nest can be a memorable experience. You do it a lot if you get in a lot of fights but sometimes something beautiful happens. Just like in real life.

Pyrrhic PaxTHIS. I can't count how many times I have spent LITERAL HOURS crossing THE ENTIRE MAP, only to die and get respawned all the way back at the place I left HOURS ago. I DON'T WANT TO BE THERE THAT'S WHY I LEFT!
-

ConfusedKiwilet us (parents) respawn at our nest (if you have one). right now, I have to cross the entire map when I die just to get back to the nest.
also it kinda blows respawing on the other end of map when you die SW and you come back NE. Some dino's walk slow and run out of stamina quick, so spawning near the nest or homecave would be better -

Q / AstralarchivistI'd like to see this limited to POIs that your player-character has already discovered!
Adds a little extra layer of progression to it. -

OldManEmuI think just straight up Respawning at your nest is the way.
But,
If It's been destroyed you cop the random respawn.
&,
If you die In the same location as your nest, random respawn.
