Real DEATH PENALTY
Right now the death caused by other players or through environment is not enough, the price to die in a survival game should be to lose all your progress on your dino and not only 10 % or 4 Quests, thats nothing and makes the gameplay senseless. i know some people want to just play and lose nothing and keep roleplaying, so therefore there should be a hosting setting on official and non official so that those servers can be called: HARDCORE or something and people who are willing to risk anything in the game can join them. i mean whats the reason of fighting if u can respawn and are in the same progress like before? it makes no sense, please add hardcore servers with that option or at least give hosters the possibility to set this like that or even not.

Alderon Kangaroo Admin PinnedA Game Mode called 'Permadeath' has been in development and testing, in which players will lose all growth on their character upon dying, and will need to start over again.
At this time, there is no ETA for when this Game Mode will be ready to play on. -

USHiRiProblem is that if you play alone and you get ganged up on by 2 or more dinos constantly seeking out loners then you will just sstop playing. If you play more you will notice the problem. The perma death has no teleport,no chat, no grouping so on that it wasnst so common that groups of discordplayers join to kill lone targets and treating the game as a deathmatchzone.

AnonPath isn't a solely survival based game.
Even then, that kind of thing is better for when they bring back the perma death solo servers.
This kind of mechanic in officials where there's no rules and nothing preventing you from getting ganged up on by giant discord packs, would be highly unfair and disadvantageous for the small groups/solo players that are actually trying to enjoy the game.
Having a quicker growth rate would be one of the few perks path has over other dinosaur games. Better to have it as a game mode people can choose rather than force it on those who don't want it. -

danli intirely agree on Midnight's thoughts ah yes lets make it so being killed is defintly more penalizeing then what it already is with the mega packs wether its mixing or not im glad a game mod is gonna do this and not introduce more trolling methods to the base game.

ROTTMNTLover2022I like the idea of having separate game modes, such as Permadeath, then the current servers (maybe add SOME regulation and rules....). Adding passive growth to both would be nice because quests take a long time.... Especially now when pretty much every PoI will have aggressive players, cyber bullies, and ten-twenty people discord groups meandering around to randomly murder my baby creature XD. Making the single game mode (adventure) we have now Permadeath would be painful... Unless the devs make it properly illegal to murder without NEEDING food. Or at LEAST undo the Ten people discord groups, then the balancing they've already done would take more effect.
I have played with 'all progress lost upon death' dinosaur games. The best one I've played out of three is the one with well-balanced, basic ('realism...' meaning it was controlled by rules) ecosystem that genuinely encouraged exploration, fun, and actual progress, minus the thousands of hours wasted just trying to grow.
