DISCOVERABLE BERRY BUSHES / BURROWS!

As an extra option and incentive to explore;
Herbivores could be rewarded for discovering Berry Bushes, which will be marked on the map!
Carnivores rewarded for discovering Burrows, marked on the map with their designated critter icons!

Maybe not corpses, as they could be considered random events.
For AQUATICS, thedebris rafts could be discoverable.

Another suggestion, replace the minimap with a "compass bar" at the top of the screen? (similar to Skyrim, but just for Waystones, discovered burrows/bushes, and Homecaves (Homecave Icon would gradually turn red if you're within the debuff range)
