Add new maps in similar way to other mmos, build vast world of interconected maps.
Creating huge map isn't practical considering player count and hardware limits but we could get a set of maps connected to eachother, see attached picture from an old mmo. the difference would be each map would be it's own server and by crossing the gates leading to another map we would also switch server so each map can have maximum number of players at all times.
I will give an example of panjura and its snowy mountains over the horizon, up north we could have 1-3 passages (gates) leading to said mountains, upon crossing them we would move to the server hosting a map located in those mountains.
Similar situation could happen south where gate would lead us to more dry place, upon crossing that map again we could go further ending up in the desert land eventualy.
We could really have world expanded left and right instead of tiny gondwa biomes, in fact road to the island of gondwa could see transitional grounds of mostly ocean map with an archipelago of islands to cross over there.

RhiannonWhat happens if there's a favorite biome? Like this is still a bunch of maps just with a quick server jumping feature. If there's a hotspot because one biome in particular ends up being what folks are fascinated with are you blocked by an invisible wall because that server is full? What if there's not enough players for a maximum amount of players in each server at one time? You could still have just empty maps because the area's not interesting.
