Quest Reward Banking
There’s this cool feature that allows players to bank growth and marks so if one dies as a growing dino (and they will), it mitigates the loss. This also encourages questing as adults. This is already in game and should not be removed. There should be no reason to claim quests if that progress can be lost when dying.

KillamariBeing able to bank quests I assumed was a really nice quality of life change, bc it means I don't have to be constantly in fear of losing my growth progress, especially as a dino that so many people KOS immediately even as a juvenile, such as the rex or meg. If you're able to actually quest without worrying that if you get jumped on repeat, you aren't sent back all the way to square one. As well as that, this will encourage more people to play the way they want to instead of living in fear constantly, so you'll have more pvp battles, etc.
Losing all your banked quests is silly, if that's what you'll be doing moving forward then you might as well remove having to cash in the quests entirely, as it's a waste of time. I think that's why so many people are surprised at the change, as the ability to bank quests felt intentional. Please keep this in, the feature has me playing this game way more than I was before. -

JudeWhy you the devs added such a great feature that helps baby’s and new players grow and encourages adults to quest and are now trying to take it away is beyond me.

ErenHonestly I fail how to see how this is an ‘exploit’.
It made the game more fun and SO much less time grinding- seriously.
And yes, it’s a survival game, we get it. I can promise you I’m STILL terrified of dying. If you don’t want people to claim an hours worth on HC… then don’t allow them to be claimed in HC. That simple. -

Lord PenguinTotally agree. The biggest plus is the incentive to quest after adulthood. If the devs see it as exploit then I say double the penalty for deaths(ie: full bar for combat death instead of half).
The feature should definitely stay. -

JonathanAs a mainly solo player quest banking has been a godsend for getting swarmed by 4-9 mid-apex megagroups that roam officials killing everything they run across. Being able to hold onto my quests while my growth gets whittled down to just entering the growth stage because you can't hide from these kill swarms, and when I finally make it to the home cave I can log off with a full growth stage ticking away makes it more bearable.

Jensen SalvatThe loss induced by failing banked quests expounds the loss of time, growth, and marks under the old quest system EXPONENTIALLY.
This feature not only encourages adult dinosaur questing, but also allows far greater player control over when growth takes place for experienced players, providing an element of strategy. Removing the ability to cash in banked quests after death not only increases the penalty of death exponentially, but also makes the game far less accessible to new players, who may not understand the mechanic and will invariably become discouraged when hours of progress is lost over accidental deaths. Anecdotes from the current player base suggests that MOST deaths in the game for new players are indeed accidental as they familiarize themselves with the map.
This ‘fix’ has received near unanimous disapproval by players across social media platforms and betrays a growing unrest in the wider playerbase. Reconsider. -
