Raining inside caves

Can we please have it fixed so we can be inside caves or underneath a cliffside without having to look at the rain?

Fixing this would help immensely with immersion in the game. Additionally, now that being wet or dry is a game mechanic, it would be useful if we could shelter from the rain!

Please it breaks immersion so bad. Let me hide from the wet like a real animal.

The whole weather system needs an update. There should be areas where it rains like green valley or plains and areas where it either doesn't or is just really rare or extreme (eg thunder storms) like stego mountain.

Caves, underhangs of cliffs and the such should not have rain inside as it would add a layer of immersion, especially around large bodies of water as I know some Dino's are now doing extra damage to wet targets.

Also more weather events maybe. A few ideas : thunderstorms. Dust storms (deserts and sandy areas only) droughts (water levels lower over time or just less available water) light rain, heavy rain. Heatwaves, cold spells (both of which could require Dino's to go to caves or get to water to help negate the effects otherwise stat debuffs could occur)

Lastly I think night should be darker. (Especially in water) that being said. The first thing needed is dry caves and more intelligent weather so it actually makes certains parts wet and other parts wet slower

Oooh! I agree with what Michael has said, it would give players something to actually do for once too.

What Michael said would indeed be interesting, though we need something that is not too harsh for new players or really have regions where it happens more harshly than others. There is so many little caves that are not home cave and big forest, that could be amazing shelters!

Literally I want this change before any other new feature. I love the rain, but why have rain if there is no possible way to shelter from it? Every single player I’ve ever played with has brought this up while it was raining. It’s just a quality of life improvement that would make my favorite game even better<3

Definitely need this to happen asap. I go underwater to get out of the rain it bugs me so much. Also autistic.

Yes!! Allowing players to actually avoid getting wet would be amazing! Not to mention being able to use the shake animation to get rid of the wet status. Quite frankly that animation for being wet is annoying and lasts too long since you can't shake it off..
