Home Cave Access from Selection Screen

Homecaves in game are scattered really distantly, which makes them hard to access, even harder for slower dinos. The fact that you need to access these caves for ability changes disrupt the gameplay, sometimes forcing you to fail a quest. Therefore I suggest that enabling players to access the home cave features (even if just ability editing) from the character selection screen, after waiting the 2 minute cooldown. This way players won’t be forced to track long distances just to swap a single ability.

Yeah I totally agree. Most people only use these caves to swap abilities and by forcing them to disrupt their gameplay feels like bad design. Before you could switch abilities while sleeping, which makes even logging out a chore.

Honestly yeah I totally agree, until further features are added homecaves are completely useless and an annoying game mechanic.

I haven't been in one since they were released, because you don't need to go to them to change abilities anymore, all you gotta do is sleep.
It wouldn't hurt to have them accessed from the home page though.

This would help stop people from camping them to. Maybe you only get that growth buff if you log off after having entered a homecave the old fation way but can still enter one from the charicter selection (as long as the charicter isn't currently active and has well and fully logged out) for the customisation of both you and the homecave. I'm not sure what Novembri is talking about with not needing them. Perhaps they play unofficial exclusively and don't know that's just a server option player owned servers can turn on.
