Improve Panjura’s Caves (Visually and Functionally)
Panjura is filled with beautiful, high-quality locations in almost every type of environments…except one. It’s caves.
There are many caves ranging in size and complexity found around the map, and layout wise, they’re decent; but visually, they’re really nothing more than empty, greyish tunnels.
Visually, caves could do with the addition of everything from rocks, stalagmites, stalactites, hanging plants, fungi, moss, bones, etc. (Most of which already have models in Home Caves) simply added to the pre-existing cave layout without the need to alter the map too much.
Functionally, caves could differ from regular environments, offering a safe place from the elements with a buff when inside causing increased stamina and health regeneration. There’s plenty of room for unique quests too, in addition to lowering the light level when inside for better atmosphere and realism, and please, find a way to stop rain from passing through cave ceilings.

Dixie NormasI know Matt has said they will not add meshes to caves/dens/burrows to prevent rain from getting in, as it would be too intense for the game to handle and cause even more lag. That being said, I've also heard that the rain effect is filter overlaid the users screen. If this is true then there might be a way to mark all caves/dens/burrows with a tag like "Shelter" which toggles the rain filter off when a play is inside. This shouldn't be as intensive on lag, and be able to use already existing systems like the POI boundaries but even more localized to these small locations.
