Growth should be both time- and quest based
Dinosaurs should grow over time but grow way faster if they also quest. The current quests do not fit every playstyle and not every players expectations, so a hybrid system would be preferable for a lot of people.

WistalaI think it's a good idea actually. The hybrid system would suit as many people as possible and would bring in more people in my opinion. Some of my friends don't want to play actually because there is only the quest system to grow...
I hope this system will arrive soon ! -

OottaaThis is something that should be done at the beginning. I understand official should stand out but many times I see the community servers fuller with queues to get in. The passive-quest hybrid growth system is vastly superior to just quest growth. I tested that it took me 6 hours (with breaks) to grow a baby Allo to half adolescent with the shrunk map and limited questing yet I was pretty much nearly an adult with the passive growth. Its so much smoother and more enjoyable having the hybrid system.
Hope the Devs utilise the passive system more and bump up mark rewards for quests. There is nothing wrong with having the abilities and skins locked behind marks with a passive growth system. Just boost the rewards on the shrunk map and people will find it better. -

Vakuur BairnThe Growth mechanic is brilliant but extremely flawed still. The balance between growth/reward and time invested kills any enthusiasm for the game after only a few brief hours of game play

Jochewiplease no... I've seen enough documentaries eating and drinking water, I don't need to grow up while hiding in the hedge too. Just rehab the water quest

SunnyHonestly this would be amazing because realistically Dinos had a passive growth they didn’t collect acorns to grow. I would absolutely love to see a passive growth that deceases the older you get. This would help out a lot of people and from what I’ve seen on fb groups it’s preferred since a lot of community servers use it even if it’s a small passive growth.

Daniel MatuteOnly a little bit of passive growth, nothing that deters from doing quests.

John GallantI disagree, I like playing a baby Dino & this would kill that aspect of the game, instead of this, make questing quicker, &/or make it so we can turn the auto growth on/off for each Dino.
