Rain filler and Floods.
As it rains your thirst will slowly go up. For the duration of rain your Dino’s thirst shall slowly go up. However the rain will only fill you up about half-way. This will help save players in a pinch and those no where near water. Another thing when it rains for a long time water levels will rise and start flooding. Flooding will restore ponds and rivers but they will take a while to cure.

RyzanimaBravo, i think your idea is on point, however i would like to add that Dynamic terrain is a huge technical hurdle unless the entire world/map runs of phsyics emulation which as you might guess requires much more processing power than is currently available to consumers. i believe having lakes, ponds and rivers with a variable water level based on a few factors is achievable though and would love to see a form of that implemented. as for your idea on the interaction between the rain events and dinosaur characters i agree but would put forward instead for game balance that rain only fills ups thirst to 20% at most and reduces rate of thirst by 50-150% depending on the character
