Having corpses of players deteriorate into bones
So having the bodies deteriorate when eaten as well as overtime into bones would be awesome.
It would be also be awesome if the smaller carnivores and scavengers be able to eat the bones and get full faster from them rather then full bodies.
Also have the bigger predators not be able to eat the bones so that scavengers can eat relatively in safety when the bigger boys leave the body.

KattcattisI full heartly agree! Especially as the diet as right now that allows you to eat bones are utterly pointless. The only areas that has a lot of bones use them for questing!

YorkshireGobboI was just about to suggest this myself. At the moment there seems to be little reason to play with the 'Scavenger' metabolism with bones and carcasses being so rare. Having player corpses deteriorate into caracasses and then bones would make playing as a scavenger much more viable as a play style and more immersive for the player.

My personal suggestion would be to have player corpses deteriorate into a Carcass after 5 minutes, and then into Bones after 20 minutes. These Bones would then stay on the map until they were eaten or the server was reset. Using a staggered deterioration like this would make the game world more interesting as it would allow players who come across a corpse to guess at how long ago the other player was killed, and change their behavior accordingly. For example; coming across a player corpse that hasn't yet deteriorated would indicate the killer might still be close by, and make you more cautious moving around that area. -

Hunty33That would be awesome! The idea of YorkshireGobbo is a great add to that too! It would help people with the scavenger metabolism and also make the game evolve towards an interesting ecosystem! I don't think there is need to turn the bodies into carcasses though, having the bodies, once meat consumed, turn into bones THAT! That'd be cool! and so little scavengers come and clean the map <3 It'd be a bit like the ginger in the game! you can collect flowers but also the roots to eat. Though I don't know how difficult it'd be to add this feature :/

BobthesniperThis would be awsome. it would also be cool to make it so that the skeletons stay there and dont despawn.
