Sauropod playables

We truly haven't had an official Sauropod to the game yet. I'll make the game experience much better for everyone especially Herbivore enthusiasts because if sauropods are around in groups, let's say in a well known area. I'll likely bring attention to more players due to their long necks, and hang out with the gentle giants. Also a sauropod will be enjoyable the most when it comes to being in a herd. Sauropods add a sense of protection for smaller herbivores against carnivores due to their huge size.

Another great Idea i really want to see in the game. It would also give you a sense of scale if you walk next to maybe a brachi or an even taller standing sauropod. Of course, they themselves wouldnt be too easy to play and maybe not fun for many people since they would be very slow and the camera angle wouldnt allow you to see much while walking through a forest for example. Another problem might be drinking and eating since the animations would be quite difficult to do. Especially if you have to put in special food for them because they reach up high in tall trees. The devs would have to make a whole new diet system for them. Such giants also need a lot of water which could make it more difficult for them and others to find a clean water source to drink from.

But overall I am really hoping to see them ingame at some point in the future, though it might take a long time.

You aren’t taking into consideration the gigantic amount of resources something like that will consume. I doubt herds will be more than 1-2 sauropods as they’d likely consume all resources in an area in a very short time and be forced to stay in constant motion

Yes P. Nass, but the map will have to be flattened a bit with less trees and terrain and more open spaces and plains for the true titans

I'd love to see sauropods, but I'd also want to make sure there are carnivores capable of taking them down, as well. Currently, herbivores are in a very powerful state and a decent herd is almost untouchable. Adding a huge sauropod to that would be... something I'd just walk away from, which is not interesting gameplay for anyone. I would want to make sure it comes with proper balance.

Could be really cool, the problem is that the trees doesnt move/breakable so will be impossible for those big ones to move around/access many parts of the map.

Now because of the current map it would be hard to make larger sauropods for it but with the incoming Amargasuarus why not add the Shunosaurs along the way.

I think Camarasaurus should be considered. A medium, bulky sauropod that eats tree leaves and moves relatively faster than larger sauropods.

Yes! I love having the Amargasaurus, but would love just one more classic-looking playable sauropod. I understand that it's a delicate balance cause we don't want to make it so big that it's OP. But Something like the Melanorosaurus or the Demandasaurus would be the perfect compromise! Even Apatosaurus, though bigger, could make a good counter for the Rex as a slightly smaller version.

A Brachisaurus would be cool but realistic size compared to current dinos is to big in my opinion. BUT Apotosaurus I think would be a perfect fit...pweease

I'd like to throw Saltasaurus into the ring of consideration as well! They were a large sauropod, bigger than the Amargasaurus (though not as large as Apatosaurus and other, much larger sauropods in the family) and also had the unique addition of plates on their back! Would create the opportunity for interesting, unique defensive abilities!

This in addition to Plateosaurus, (which was a medium-sized ancestor to sauropods that stood on its hind legs) though I'm not sure how the devs feel about proto-sauropods existing in the same setting as true sauropods.

There are sauropods of various sizes, I have always wanted seismosaurus, but if you can't have a big dinosaur we have less popular sauropods that are unique like: ampelosaurus, saltasaurus, Shunosaurus.

LITERALLY LOVE IM SUCH A SAUROPOD LOVER!!! It would also be a cool idea to add a new feed system like trees so the sauropods don't eat all the bushes and can have there own source of food.

I play on the forbidden isles community server 2 and they have a sauropod in there. Just 1 but its actually fun to play as. When gondwa finally comes out that would be a better location for them since they are so massive. And yes they may eat a lot but they also have huge food and water points. I played for an hour and my food/hunger barely went down there. Devs please work towards new map first before adding more dinos

Sauropods are a must! You can't have a dinosaur game without a "real" sauropod. Yes there's Amargasaurus, but that's tiny. Dinosaurs are huge in people's minds and people should get huge!

A large sauropod to pair with Amarg would be very nice. Apatosaurus would be a good choice being big but not gigantic. But if a giant would be added Alamosaurus is my pick since Argint is in a mod

I would like to see some sauropods in POT but before they add them. I would like sauropods to have another diet option like being able to eat leaf's. Plus I would like to be able to knockdown trees as a sauropod. That means they would need to update their trees.

Amarga has been added but it is dreadfully horrible and might as well not have been added at all. It adds nothing to the game and dies far too easily for a sauropod. The Argentio sauropod modded dino IS what sauropods would have been like. Make an actual sauropod Path not a cop out.

Amarga needs major buff, it's not hard, change the numbers. No one plays it and I got tired of hoping for change and just deleted mine too. It's not worth playing.

I love Amargasaurus, but it needs to be tougher. All the Ceratopsians are valid, most of the Therapods are valid, but our ONLY Sauropod is hot garbage. Please give Amarga some respect. A Sauropod should be a dangerous hunt, not a free meal.
